Ursache für den Ausfall war der Ausfall der beiden primären Darkfiberleitungen zwischen Düsseldorf und Velbert. Diese sind vom Darkfiberanbieter, anders als festgelegt, nicht weg-redundant ausgebaut worden.
Aufgrund des Wegfalls beider Fiber-Leitungen war sowohl unsere Wave nach Düsseldorf (myLoc) als auch die Anbindung der Backbones unserer lokalen Carrier NETMOUNTAINS und LWLCom unterbrochen.
